When we were young, we looked at the world with a different perspective. There were no limits to what was possible in the world. Our minds ran wild with cool ideas and no voice inside telling us the ideas were crazy or couldn’t be done.
We would just have an idea and start doing it. It might have started out basic, but then, through a child’s ignorant tenacity, our vision got more clear, we learned quickly, and we improved.
This worked [even if it meant nagging our mom into making some of the most awesome Halloween costumes ever! Thanks mom! ? ?] because our minds were open and we weren’t bombarding ourselves with reasons why it wouldn’t work, we were just doing.
The end result wasn’t always this fantastic [thanks again mom!], but the process was always super fun and it was all worth it for the wins we did get.

Being a marketer and business owner is much the same. We have to let our minds run wild and try things that are outside our normal box. Push our limits and what can be done, both creatively and strategically.
I challenge my fellow Central Penn marketers and business owners, especially during this time of digital marketing revolution, to jump outside their comfort zone early and often. Then assess and keep improving and optimizing.
Consistency is the number one thing you need, but to get real results, you must give it some real thought and effort with an open mind.
Every day you don’t start crushing it online is another day your competition is pulling ahead with knowledge, experience, following, and algorithm favor. Really, just get to the gettin’ already and take action. You will get better along the way by doing.
