Are Products Going Away for Real Estate Agent Google Business Profiles?
The disappointing trend I’ve noticed recently
Is the Products section going away for Real Estate Agents?
A few months ago Google started enforcing the “Immovable Property” policy on real estate Google Business Profiles. Meaning, we can no longer post houses for sale or put our sold homes there (because you’re not allowed to put products that are “immovable” on there).
And, adding our services as products (like “Listing Services”, “Buyer Agent Services”, “Probate & Estate Services”, etc) really isn’t what it’s meant for either. But since it makes our profile look prettier and reiterates what we do, I was still adding services as products and utilizing the products section that way.
So really, the Products section isn’t for us. (Then why have it there!?)
Now, I haven’t seen Services as Products getting rejected like with the immovable property ones recently; but instead, a different trend has begun to emerge over the last month+/-.
I’ve noticed that any profile dashboard that I go into that did not have any products added to their profile already, does not even have the “Edit Products” tab in the dashboard.

Other profiles that had products still have the tab and section and can add and edit.
So is the Products section on it’s way out altogether for real estate profiles? It would make sense. Not sure why it would be in the dashboard in the first place if it’s not meant for us. Just like the “Add more hours” that doesn’t apply to us.
Do you still have a products section on your profile? Are your products in good standing or “rejected”?
