New Feature to Add Social Profiles to Google Search Console

Most of you should now have access to adding some of your socials to Google Search Console.

This started rolling out a little bit ago, but more widely available now.

Platforms you can add…

  • Instagram
  • X
  • Tik Tok
  • YouTube

What this means…

You will be able to get performance data for when your social content (typically videos) are included in search results as an answer to a question.

Videos are increasingly being served up as answers to questions and used as sources for answers in both traditional search and AI search.

And we want to know when our content is being recommended.

Previously this was data was not available, so this new feature is awesome.

Very easy to SET UP…

  1. Go to Google Search Console: https://search.google.com/search-console/
  2. Click “Add Property”
  3. Click on the Social Platform you want to connect
  4. Log in and give access as prompted

And you can add multiple if you want… Like I added 4 of my YouTube Channels.

Once the data populates and we start getting some data, we can analyze and react with our content accordingly.
